UCOP G-28 Transportation Policy"Transportation expenses shall be reimbursed based on the most economical mode of transportation and the most commonly traveled route consistent with the authorized purpose of the trip." If a traveler rented a car when a taxi or rideshare would have sufficed, reimbursement is capped at the taxi equivalent.
